Climate Smart Agriculture and Food Security

This initiative promotes farming practices that are both environmentally sustainable and resilient to climate change.

By integrating techniques such as conservation agriculture, agroforestry, and efficient water management, the programme helps farmers adapt to weather variability while increasing crop productivity.

Additionally, it supports food security by encouraging diversified crop systems and sustainable practices that reduce dependency on single crops, ensuring a stable food supply even in the face of climatic challenges.

Horticulture Management

The horticulture management component focuses on enhancing the productivity and sustainability of fruit and vegetable production.

This involves training farmers in modern cultivation techniques, pest and disease management, and post-harvest handling to reduce losses and improve market access.

By developing value chains and encouraging local processing, the programme not only boosts incomes but also contributes to improved nutrition and economic resilience within the community.
